Filmset "The best offer" backstage, Hagenberg castle

Last year the film "The best offer" was shown in the cinemas, it was partly filmed in Hagenberg. Giuseppe Tornatore was the director and Geoffrey Rush had the leading role. I´ve just found these photos, I thought I had lost them.
Usually the rooms are almost empty. It´s stunning how they changed the atmosphere with all this furniture.

Watercolour picture postcard

Finally I found time to write letters to some of my dear family and friends. Still it is the nicest way of communication in my point of view, after meeting each other face to face.

Life is short, my friend - this is how we all will end

Chammünster, Karner, Church

We believe that this life is very short in comparison to our after life which is forever. In Arabic this life is the Dunyah, while the afterlife is the Akhirah and paradise is Jannah. I found a nice saying:
"Imagine that you are a ship and the Dunyah is the ocean. You need the ocean in order to stay afloat, but do not let too much water enter the ship otherwise you will sink. The wind will allow the ship to sail and the wind is striving for the Akhirah and is our purpose and setting directions using the mast in life helps us to attain Jannah."

Speise liebevoll gekocht,
und du tust so stolz und mächtig
und verschmähst das Essen nun!
                    Du verdientest wirklich Strafe,
Plage und Heimsuchung hart -
denn man kann beim besten Willen
dir ja gar nichts gutes tun!"
Dann gibt sie ihm noch die Brühe:
los, nun komm und trinke jetzt.
Wenn du schon die feinen Nudeln
überhaupt nicht essen willst!"
Doch der Falk mag keine Brühe,
denn er ist sie nicht gewohnt,
und das alte Weib wird wütend,
und ihr Ärger wächst und wächst;
                    schließlich gießt die kochend heiße
Brühe sie ihm überm Kopf -
                    ach da fallen alle Federn
Ihm vom Haupt, er wird ganz kahl,
                    und aus seinen Augen tropfen
Tränen ihm aus heißem Schmerz,
und er denkt jetzt an die Güte,
die sein König ihm erzeigt'...

Doch dann sagt der Falke: "Wenn auch
                    diese Alte mich versehrt,
hat sie doch mein Licht, mein Wissen,
                    die Geduld mir nicht verzehrt!"
